AVB would rather quit Chelsea than work with Guus Hiddink

Andre Villas-Boas

Hiddink’s name is back in the frame after Chelsea’s worst start under Roman Abramovich.

Asked if he needed the help of a more experienced man alongside him, 34-year-old Villas-Boas replied: “In what sense?”

When the Dutchman’s name was mentioned, he said: “I don’t agree with that.

“I solve problems with my own group of people and my players and it has been like that through my career.

“I hold on to my self-belief and my belief in my players — and I still believe in what I do.”
